• Unit: Neuro Trauma/Neurosurgical ICU (17 beds) – Surgical Services C9I\n
• Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center\n
• Contract Length: 13 weeks\n
• Start Date: December 15, 2025\n
• End Date: March 15, 2026\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC); every other weekend and holiday required\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2070\n
• Open Positions: 3 ICU RN jobs available\n
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue (black bottoms allowed)\n

\n\nICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience; neuro trauma/neurosurgical ICU experience preferred\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system\n
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday\n

\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based critical care to neuro trauma and neurosurgical ICU patients\n
• Monitor and manage patients with EVDs, lumbar drains, post spine surgery, craniotomy, stroke, trauma, and spinal cord injuries\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans\n
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and respond rapidly to changes in condition\n
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR\n
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery expectations\n
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment\n
