• Patient Ratios: Laboring Patient 1:1, Postpartum 1:3 Mom/3 Babies\n
• Scrub Color: Turquoise\n
• EMR System: Cerner\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Tennessee RN license\n
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications (required)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience\n
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred\n
• Willingness to work either Christmas Eve or Christmas Night\n
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the Newport facility\n
• Strong commitment to patient- and family-centered care\n

\n\nL&D Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, addressing psychosocial, physical, and developmental needs\n
• Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition, diagnostic results, and symptom changes\n
• Deliver care with initiative and responsibility, upholding professional nursing standards\n
• Support patients and families with compassionate, thorough communication\n
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR\n
• Follow all healthcare facility policies, including holiday coverage and call requirements\n
