Tax Manager
Position Overview The Tax and Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the tax compliance and accounting functions of the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of tax obligations, developing tax strategies, and supervising a team of accountants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, tax planning, and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and oversee the preparation of business and personal tax returns
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support
- Conduct regular reviews of financial statements and reports for accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight and support to business decisions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and accounting standards
Qualifications
- CPA or CPA eligible
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting or CPA firm
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
