Senior Compliance Officer

This role leads the bank’s overall compliance program, ensuring operations follow all applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. The position also serves as the BSA Officer, guiding the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and OFAC programs and supporting leadership with compliance insight and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance activities across the bank and act as the primary resource on federal and state banking requirements.
• Manage the bank’s compliance framework, including policies, monitoring, training, risk assessments, and reporting.
• Stay current on regulatory updates and ensure timely revisions to internal policies and procedures.
• Coordinate exams, audits, and reviews; serve as the main contact for regulators and auditors.
• Direct BSA/AML operations, including monitoring, investigations, and required regulatory filings.
• Conduct compliance reviews, assess risk exposure, and lead remediation efforts.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and board committees.
• Provide ongoing training, guidance, and communication to staff and leadership.
• Support a strong culture of compliance and collaborate effectively across departments.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of compliance or risk management experience, preferably in banking.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication abilities with attention to detail and urgency.
• Ability to work independently and in partnership with others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; bachelor’s degree preferred.
