Job Description

At SportsPlus, we've been dedicated to providing the highest quality outpatient physical therapy for 26 years. Known as the best in the area, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care that gets to the root of the problem. Our clinic specializes in sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation, offering advanced, evidence-based treatment techniques. From athletes to active individuals, we help our patients return to their everyday lives with confidence, strength, and mobility.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. If you're committed to improving patients' lives through personalized care, manual therapy, and progressive therapeutic exercises, we'd love to meet you!

You'll provide comprehensive care for individuals with sports-related injuries, orthopedic conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. You'll work closely with a collaborative team and utilize cutting-edge treatments to help patients recover, prevent future injuries, and optimize their functional performance.

Why Join Us?
Reputation: As the leading clinic in the area for sports medicine and orthopedic care, you'll be part of a team that's known for delivering results.
Patient-Centered Care: We focus on quality, personalized care that addresses the root cause of each patient's issue, not just the symptoms.
Long-Term Impact: Be part of a legacy of helping patients achieve their fullest potential and return to a life free of pain and limitation.

Responsibilities:
Perform Initial Evaluations: Conduct detailed assessments to determine patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Manual Therapy: Utilize hands-on techniques, such as joint mobilization, myofascial release, and soft tissue mobilization to address musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Dry Needling: Use dry needling as an advanced technique to target myofascial trigger points, alleviate pain and effect CNS homeostasis.
Neuromuscular Retraining: Implement progressive functional therapeutic exercises focused on neuromuscular re-education to restore movement patterns and improve functional performance.
Sports-Specific Rehabilitation: Create personalized rehab plans for athletes and active individuals to safely return to their sport.
Patient Education: Empower patients with the knowledge to take an active role in their recovery, including self-management strategies and exercises to prevent re-injury.
Progressive Care: Progress patients through rehab, ensuring they achieve optimal outcomes and return to daily activities, work, or sport with confidence.

We Offer:

Competitive Salary: Based on experience with opportunities for bonuses and performance incentives.
Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental and retirement plans.
Continuing Education: Access to advanced training in manual therapy, dry needling, and other specialties to enhance your clinical skills.
Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling and generous PTO.
Collaborative Team: Join a group of experienced, dedicated professionals who share your passion for patient care and rehabilitation.

Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active or applied for Iowa state license to practice physical therapy.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient sports medicine and orthopedics (preferred but not required).
Certifications: Dry Needling certification (or willingness to obtain), orthotic training, or other advanced certifications are a plus.

Skills:

Expertise in manual therapy techniques.
Strong knowledge in neuromuscular retraining and functional therapeutic exercise.
Passion for helping patients achieve long-term results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
