The Pennsylvania State University, Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), University Park has an opening for a part-time Mental Health Case Manager available beginning August 8, 2025. Hours worked are 16 hours per week during the academic year only. Responsibilities include facilitating the development of an effective care plan for students/other clients, providing case management appointments to facilitate client connection to ongoing mental health services, calling insurance companies, performing online searches for services, communicating electronically with students regarding coverage and provider options, advocating for client access to mental health care and other needed services and resources, explaining services available to clients, providing referrals/support coordination of other community or university resources as needed, managing record requests as needed, and assisting students in obtaining prior records from medical or psychological treatment. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience providing case management services and experience working with diverse populations. A minimum of a master’s degree in social work or a related discipline is required. Licensed eligible in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist is required. Current licensure as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist is preferred. The position requires PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
