Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Partners with another packer to make sure the correct packaging supplies are ready to be used as products come off the line.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conducts inspections of products and examines to ensure that product and packaging specifications are met and quality of products is within acceptable ranges.
• Identifies and assures appropriate label is being used and manually labels and packs products into boxes.
• Seals boxes in preparation for shipment or to be placed in inventory for stock.
• Recognizes non-confirming goods and informs supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required. College a plus
• Minimum 1-year factory related experience helpful.
• Basic Math skills to be used in measuring and setting up die cutting.
• Must have the ability to read, interpret work orders for processing.
• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must be able to use basic hand-held measuring tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, light to moderate physical effort is required. Must be able to stand for 8 hours. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
