Optometrist ( Part-Time)

This part-time opportunity is with a respected, mission-driven community health organization that has historically limited recruitment efforts—but is excited to collaborate with you through Titan Placement Group.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay Range: $58.17 to $69.23 per hour (based on experience, skill set, and qualifications)
• Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays only, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Conduct eye exams to determine visual acuity, perception, focus, coordination, and diagnose abnormalities
• Prescribe corrective lenses, vision aids, and medications (where permitted by law)
• Counsel patients on visual hygiene, contact lens care, and eye safety
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other providers as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality of care
• Engage with patients in a compassionate and culturally competent manner
• Function as part of a team within a community health center setting

Requirements

• Doctorate in Optometry (OD)
• Active Massachusetts therapeutic level optometry license
• Current Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
• Board Certification in Optometry
• Minimum of five years professional experience preferred
• Public health experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for serving low-income, underserved communities
