About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary and highly skilled Controller/Deputy Chief Financial Officer to lead its Accounting and Financial Operations Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business strategies, overseeing various financial divisions, and ensuring the development and maintenance of strong internal controls and daily accounting practices. This role is pivotal in the company's financial planning, cash management, and investment strategies, and the Controller/Deputy CFO will serve as a key advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and the broader leadership team. Applicants for the Controller/Deputy CFO position at the company should have at least 12 years' of management experience in financial statement analysis and preparation, with a focus on municipal finance. Advanced expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and federal grant compliance is essential, as is a thorough understanding of accounting standards such as GAAP and GASB. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background that includes government accounting, excellent public speaking skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse stakeholder groups. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with a master's degree and CPA certification preferred.
