Job Description
*This is a full-time contract role through December 2026*
Overview:
Assure the daily coordination and control of the different contractors' activities on site during the overall execution of the project in order to guarantee the execution according to safety standards, with the proper quality, until final handover to the local operating team, and support the Project Manager to meet timing and budget objectives.
The main activities on site are: excavation, rerouting of existing utilities, demolition works, building construction, implementation of the utilities related to the Bakery business (Electric, Gas, Water, HVAC, Steam, Fire Safety), equipment installation and commissioning (related to Bakery business).
Representative activities
- Is responsible for all safety aspects related to the preparation, execution, completion and delivery of the project: anticipate and ensure daily co-activity safety coordination, assure the workers are wearing their respective individual safety equipment and guarantee the respect on site of individual and collective safety rules, address the warnings in case of safety breach to the concerned people and formalize it through documentations.
- Leads the daily follow-up on all safety actions on site in coordination with safety advisor (internal and external). Solving safety issues in due time and proper reporting to LLBG management (Safety snapper or Anaplan (Let’s build) app or similar)
- Leads for the daily morning “stand-up site coordination meeting” with all contractors involved on site to organize and anticipate co-activity.
- Is accountable for the daily meeting on site: coordination between parties, prioritizations, solving issues related to the execution, and formalizing the meeting minutes through reports.
- Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of “work permits” and “fire permits” to the relevant teams daily, following a detailed coordination review.
- Ensure coordination with the local team to avoid any business interruptions due to unplanned activities that may impact the existing plant.
- Participates actively in the weekly meeting (execution and design meeting) to support the LLBG project team.
- Anticipates and highlights missing or incorrect information to the Project Manager and/or design team to ensure a smooth execution phase.
- Is accountable for the quality control of the works executed on site and the correct follow-up and archiving of all quality remarks (using Aproplan (Let’s build) software or similar)
- Is accountable for the control and approval of the monthly progress sheet submitted by different contractors, ensuring the right quantities are invoiced and approved by LLBG management.
- Is accountable for the control of the schedule for the execution, guarantee and confirm the respect of the timing, identify any deviation, define the reasons and root causes et inform the project team about the mitigation plan proposal to minimize any delay.
- Is accountable for the punch lists after preliminary acceptance of completed work and submits it for formal approval from LLBG
- Is accountable for the completion of the punch lists based on the daily quality control and follow-up, gathering quality remarks expressed during the execution phase
- Is responsible, together with the Project Manager, for the proper handover to the local team (preparation of the different packages to deliver, training, As-Built documentations, …).
- Communicates effectively with the contractors responsible of the completion of their duties on site and reports all significant difficulties to LLBG management.
- Manages daily the ‘handy men team’, if any, for all ‘small’ works not related to a specific main contractor and depending on site organization (define priorities, assign tasks, check and validate time sheets and list of materials, …)
Other requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years experience as a Construction Site manager
- Excellent organizational, analytical, administrative and planning skills
- Team player able to work autonomously
- Solution oriented
- CSP or SCC certified, or willing to obtain CSP or SCC certificate
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders of construction projects, including safety advisors, architects and engineering offices.
- Experience with MS Project
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Ability to read plans and drawings
- Experience in industrial sector and green field construction projects is a plus.
- Experience in food industry is a plus.
- Significant experience within General Contractor company is a plus.
- English language skills (written and spoken) - obligatory
- Reports to the Project Manager (Engineering department)
