We're Hiring: Computational Scientist – Human Genetics

Location: South San Francisco, CA
Work Style: Remote or Hybrid 
Duration: 12 months (07/28/2025 – 07/27/2026)
Pay Range: $26.95 – $61.95/hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze large-scale genetic and genomic datasets (e.g., WGS, single-cell RNA/ATAC-Seq).
• Integrate multimodal biological data to uncover insights into disease biology.
• Manage intake, preprocessing, and QC of datasets.
• Develop and document analytical pipelines.
• Present results to internal teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Contribute to peer-reviewed publications.

 

Required Qualifications:

• PhD (or MS with significant experience) in Statistical Genetics, Computational Biology, Genetic Epidemiology , or related field.
• Proficient in R , Python , and Bash .
• Hands-on experience with GWAS , burden tests , and variant analyses .
• Familiarity with biobank datasets (e.g., UK Biobank, FinnGen, All of Us).
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)or Real World Data (RWD) .
• Skilled in using Git , parallel computing (e.g., Slurm), and workflow tools ( WDL , Nextflow , etc.).
• Experience with cardiovascular disease research is a plus.
