Your essential responsibilities will include:

• Safely loading, securing, transporting, and offloading CarMax vehicles using a company-assigned car hauler.
• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of vehicles to enhance inventory movement and customer satisfaction.
• Operating equipment with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and cleanliness, maintaining a well-kept truck and trailer.
• Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment in accordance with DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintaining accurate DOT logs and documentation.
• Representing CarMax professionally with vendors, store associates, and the public.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Valid state-issued commercial driver's license Class A (CDL) required.
• 2+ years Class A CDL driving experience required. Military (Heavy/Medium Tactical Vehicle) driving experience will be considered.
• In lieu of Class A CDL driving experience, current CarMax associates may apply if they meet the following criteria:
• A valid state-issued Class A CDL
• 2+ years of Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) driving experience at CarMax (non-Class A CMV experience is acceptable)
• No preventable safety incidents in the past 2 years (validated by the Safety & Compliance Team)
• Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years that meet CarMax's Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
• Ability to meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and winch transported vehicles during the loading process.
• Proficient in operating a 10-speed transmission.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills.

The hourly rate for this position is: $26.20 - $44.60

Benefits:

Except as required by state law, CarMax Associates receive the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time:

• Up to 48 hours of sick time per year, accrued per pay period, and between 80-200 hours of vacation time per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
• 8 hours of pay for each of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday. If you work on a scheduled holiday due to business need, you are eligible for Holiday Premium Pay.

Full-time salaried associates are entitled to unlimited paid time away as needed for sick leave, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, floating holidays, etc., subject to manager approval.
