About the Role

The role also involves overseeing board operations, preparing materials for board meetings, and managing the CEO's stakeholder relationships, including support for fundraising and external advocacy. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in education, policy, consulting, or nonprofits. A strong background in strategic planning, project management, and facilitation is essential, as is a demonstrated commitment to equity and anti-racism. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, experience in a Chief of Staff or executive leadership role, and knowledge of the local education and political landscape. The role requires a candidate with strong emotional intelligence, communication skills, and cross-functional leadership abilities, who can design and lead internal communication systems that connect strategy to action.
