Job Summary The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit.
What you will do - Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
- Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
- Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
- Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
- Maintain exams rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.
Experience Qualifications
- Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant. Preferred

- Knowledge of principles and skills needed to provide patient care.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
- Possess skills to effectively problem solve.
- Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment.
- Possess effective written and verbal communication.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified as a Medical Assistant from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) Upon Hire Required
- CPR/Basic Life support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program Required
