Who You Are:   

\n

\n
• Someone with previous delivery driver experience
\n
• Clear driving record
\n
• No license restrictions
\n
• Familiar with pre and post trip inspections and using online log systems
\n

\n

What You Will Be Doing:

\n

Successful candidates for the Delivery Driver role are motivated and eager to provide a high level of customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

\n

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

\n

\n
• Current Driver’s license with good driving record
\n
• No license restrictions
\n
• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day
\n
• Delivers glass to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary
\n
• Picks up glass along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested
\n
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations
\n
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
\n
• Maintains telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
\n
• Loads and unloads truck with glass scheduled for delivery
\n
• Assists in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed
\n

\n

Skills You Bring:

\n

\n
• Must have a valid CDL license
\n
• Must pass Driver’s Testing, DOT Physical/Drug Testing, and Background Screening
\n
• Clean driving record
\n
• Moffett operation experience is required
\n
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
\n
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
\n
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
\n
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions
\n
• Previous warehouse experience highly preferred
\n
• Proficient in reading and writing English
\n
• Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling, and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS ; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year.
\n
• Steel toe boots required (not company provided)
\n
• Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills 
\n
