Your role - Key responsibilities:

• Safely load, secure, transport, and offload vehicles between stores, auctions, vendors, and logistics hubs using a company-assigned car hauler.
• Ensure timely and accurate vehicle delivery for optimal inventory movement and customer satisfaction.
• Operate equipment with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and cleanliness while maintaining a tidy truck and trailer.
• Conduct detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and CarMax standards.
• Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
• Professionally represent CarMax when interacting with vendors, store associates, and the public.

As a Fleet Driver at CarMax, you will be an essential part of our logistics network, ensuring that the right vehicles are delivered on time and ready for our customers. This is not just a driving position; it's a chance to represent a trusted brand built on teamwork and integrity.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Valid state-issued commercial driver's license Class A (CDL) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience is essential. Military driving experience (Heavy/Medium Tactical Vehicle) is also considered.
• If not having direct Class A CDL experience, CarMax Associates may apply if they meet the following:
  • A valid state-issued Class A CDL
  • 2+ years of Commercial Motor Vehicle experience at CarMax
  • No preventable safety incidents in the last 2 years (validated by the Safety & Compliance Team)
• Clean driving record, free of serious violations in the past three years; candidates must satisfy CarMax's Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
• Ability to fulfill DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements.
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects and winch transported vehicles during loading.
• Proficient in operating a 10-speed transmission.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills.
