Job Description

The Denver International Airport Field Maintenance team is looking for an Airport Field Tech I. They will perform entry to intermediate journey level construction, maintenance, and repair work on a wide variety of linear assets and federally regulated airport surfaces with a focus on asphalt, concrete, and earthwork projects. Key responsibilities include participating in 12-hour rotating shifts for airfield snow removal duties and operating large, complex specialized industrial equipment; preparing subgrade for asphalt paving operations; installing, repairing, and maintaining concrete for curb and gutter, full panels, spalls, and foundations; installing, repairing, and maintaining asphalt surfaces through various methods including patching, sealing, and overlays; installing and maintaining ADA compliant pavements; constructing, maintaining, and repairing roadway structures including shoulders, guardrail, fencing, and signage; performing temporary mobile lane closures and initiating construction zones; performing vegetation management by eradicating and controlling invasive weed species; and performing other related duties in all weather conditions. The position requires knowledge of CFR Part 139 rules/regulations, FAA Advisory Circulars, airport emergency response procedures, radio etiquette, machines and tools, snow removal, pavement construction, hazardous materials, motor vehicle operation, and safety hazards. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience in construction, asphalt, or concrete repair, a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B with air brake endorsement), current DOT physical certification, Airport ID badge and LAR driving privileges, and flagger certification within six months of probation. The job is on-site at Denver International Airport with various shifts and includes mandatory snow removal duties.
