Recruiting Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support a local client in Florence. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Excel skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile, process, file and pay Sales Tax
• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and spreadsheets
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Enter and verify financial transactions in accounting software
• Generate reports and analyze data using advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
• Ability to cross train in other office departments.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools)
• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
